IndyKote has the most popular metallic ceramic exhaust coating available, known worldwide as CermakromeTM. No one else can give you a brighter, more durable exhaust coating. And as Approved Applicators for IndyKrom (CermakromeTM) we can offer you a full 1-year warranty against rust or corrosion.

Black Satin Ultra High Temperature Exhaust Coating
IndyBlak (Black Satin) becomes the most effective wet system thermal barrier coating available, increasing performance whilst extending component life. IndyBlak (Black Satin) has been tested to over 2000°F (1095°C) without lifting, cracking, or flaking. Unlike header wraps, IndyBlak (Black Satin) does not hold potentially damaging heat around the part, rather, the temperatures are actually reduced, extending the life of the part. As the coating cures through this process it forms a very effective corrosion inhibiting film that protects the part against oxidation and imparts excellent chemical resistance that further extends part life and enhances appearance. In addition, there is little or no damage incurred during blasting and application unlike metal spray barrier coatings as used by other applicators.
 

NHRA & IHRA BURNOUT COATING
BURNOUT FIRE RETARDANT COATING
IndyKote can now offer you Burnout fire retardant coating. A paintable coating designed to provide maximum protection to all combustible surfaces. The coating reacts to heat and or flame and produces an insulating blanket that limits the spread of flame and insulates the surface to which it is applied. Smoke development is reduced to low levels and the vapours given off by the coating during its protective action are non toxic. Specifically formulated and tested to provide protection to carbon fibre, kevlar, and fibreglass, it also bonds as well to all metals. Burnout meets NHRA and IHRA standards and is approved by both sanctioning bodies.

THERMAL BARRIER COATINGS
IndyKote has available the full Powerkote range of performance coatings, including the ferrous and nonferrous thermal barrier coatings. These coatings, when applied correctly provide an unrivalled layer of thermal protection to piston tops, aluminium or cast iron combustion chambers, stainless, inconel, or titanium valves, and intake or exhaust ports. The use of Zirconium in this coating gives it characteristics shared by no other product, Zirconium moves heat, reducing detonation and increasing the effective oxidation of fuel. Unlike ceramic coatings used by our competitors, Zirconium is not subject to cracking and flaking, which can lead to extensive engine damage, in fact Zirconium actually strengthens the coated part. During testing when sufficient heat was applied to a piston to melt aluminium, the Zirconium did not melt, in fact it helped to hold the softer aluminium together!

Dry Film Lubrication (DFL) is a moly-based coating capable of providing lubrication at levels as high as 350,000 psi. High pressure lubrication is a must for any performance engine and once applied, the increased lubrication aids in preventing scuffing and galling, thus increasing part life, while it reduces friction freeing more useable power. Now it is hard to find a US National or World Champion that does not make use of this lubricant on their pistons, valve springs, and even engine bearings.

DRY FILM RELEASE COATINGS
IndyKote can also apply Dry Film Release coatings (DFR) based on PTFE (TeflonTM) resins. DFR coatings are used in performance engine applications to help speed up the flow or movement of engine lubricants.Applied to the inside of valve covers, oil pans, engine blocks, and intake manifolds DFR can help oil flow back to the oil pump faster helping reduce engine temperatures. DFR can also be applied to windage trays,
scrapers, crankshafts, and con rods to reduce the drag on the rotating mass as it cuts through the oil in the oil pan, thus creating more available power.

WSX POWDERED LUBRICANT
WSX is a highly modified form of Tungsten Disulfide. It is specifically formulated to be used on parts where normal liquid lubricant coatings like DFL can not easily be used. Excellent for valve guides, cylinder walls, or roller bearings, WSX bonds through simple friction. Simply by buffing the powder onto a clean, etched surface forms a 20 millionth of
an inch lubricating film capable of carrying loads in excess of 350,000 psi.
